Couldn't agree more. Take It From The Man, Give It Back and Strung Out In Heaven are all classic albums. I have seen this band perform many times and they are always great. Anton is indeed a genius.

I agree - that documentary, DIG, is very entertaining whether you know who they are or not. That's how I discovered them.

Me too! Though I was in college when they were at their underground peak. I do remember hearing about them at the time.

I love DIG, but it is obvious that Anton's mental illness that destroyed any chance of his music reaching a larger audience. Too bad.

Yeah its certainly a shame in one way, but in another way (and being a bit selfish) its kinda good when great bands like that don't get too big. Having said that, they attract a pretty good crowd when they tour the UK these days...always makes for hot and sweaty (and always memorable) gigs.

I love BJM to death...play em in my car all the time.

Heres a few live classics to get your ears around....

BJM
Teaterladen, Hultsfred Festival, Sweden, 16 June 2006

1. Intro
2. Whoever You Are
3. Hide and Seek
4. Nevertheless
5. Vacuum Boots
6. Who
7. That Girl Suicide

It almost seemed like in that documentary they were trying NOT to get commercial Razz and it may have served them well. Who are the Dandy Warhols?

The Dandy Warhols are known for 2 reasons:
1. They had a song used for a car commercial in the Uk
2. They have links with the genius that is Anton Newcombe.

I do like that song.
If I recall correctly, it was written about Anton.
