A great trio (1974), but that's not Dickie Hell on the bass?
Wouldn't call them" forgotten" or "masterpieces",
but they usedta rool the roost... The drummer (the only survivor) still sings in a language of his very own.
Later, in the 80s, the guitar player admitted JT had a "unique sound" and said he'd be interested in co-operation, but sadly he passed too early for that.
A KILLER live band.

This was a band that we use to laugh about because they were so ugly and were from Finland. I´ve been more open minded since then :-)

Basically, it was a Swedish 70s phenomenon: tough guys cruising around in big American gas-guzzlers, getting drunk and usually looking for fun/trouble, like punk-bashing.
The Hurriganes seemed to be a favourite band, often associated with that bunch but not really a part of it.
The 'Ganes were unhip but cool (Motor City attitude, greaser looks, hot guitar players, certain 50's feel),
before succumbing to mediocrity in the late 70s and lack of musical muscle in the 80s.

Here is a pitcure of two typical raggare .
Back in 1978 Örebro Sweden
A bunch of raggare scarred the the shit out of
Iggy Pop.
He only play 3 songs before he left the stage.
They throw stones and beercans on him.

Raggarna looks exactly the same today as on the picture. But my brother was some kind of hybrid before the punk movements 72-75. He have a Ford Mustang wear NY Dolls looking clothes with some of these other Rockabilly outfits. He listen to The Hurriganes along with NY Dolls, Iggy, Sparks etc. (I discovered them thru him). Maybe it was just in Stockholm it took that turn? That Iggy show is very interesting because that the soundcheck includes some unique songs. Iggy still remember this show today.

I think the two gentlemen are not original raggare, it's probably a pretty recent picture. Too many sew-on patches, and they're most likely not wearing clogs either...
It was a typically rural/small-town thing, and the Stockholm guys were probably more hip.
As to the interrupted Iggy show (with Sonics Rendezvous Band!), in addition to rocks and cans they also threw fish at him...
